You always remember your first... Award, that is!
Glory Jones was my heroine in a free writing contest that was held at Ann Peach's workshop in 2003 Romantic Times Convention in Kansas City. Susan Johnson and Rebecca York both chose her as the best heroine and I was able to pick donated books from Ann Peach's suitcase.
It sounds like a small victory, but I know years from now when I reach the end of my storytelling career, this will be the contest that means the most to me!
Torc's Salvation (co-written as Melany Logen) finaled in the Futuristic / Sci-fi / Fantasy category of The 2006 Passionate Plume Contest!
Due to high scores in the Ellora's Cave/Just Erotic Romance Reviews Erotic Pen Contest, Melany Logen was invited to submit the full manuscript of Torc's Salvation to Ellora's Cave.
Torc's Salvation (co-written as Melany Logen) came second in the Steamy/Erotica category of the 2005 Golden Gateway Competition!
Melissa's short story The Summons was given runner-up honors in Jennifer Scales (Anthony Alongi and MaryJanice Davidson) short story contest.
